Pioneering Science Protected by Patents and Process
An overview of the OncoVAX® manufacturing process is outlined in the first three tabs. The tumor cells are derived from the patient’s own solid tumor, which has been surgically removed and processed to a single cell suspension, which is then cryopreserved (frozen). The enzymatic dissociation of the tumor is performed in the presence of levofloxacin, amphotericin B, Primaxin (imipenem and cilastatin) and gentamicin sulfate to reduce endogenous bioburden inherent to colon-derived tumors. The frozen cells are rendered non-tumorigenic by irradiation.
- The Vaccinogen portfolio includes twenty (20) approved or issued US patents with protection through 2025
- Rapid follow-on products based upon experience from pivotal study in
colon carcinoma and Phase I/II data in Stage III colon carcinoma, renal
carcinoma and melanoma.
