Proprietary Sterile Manufacturing Process
Vaccinogen owns a proprietary sterile manufacturing process for patient-specific tumor vaccines.
The process begins with the surgeon and the pathologist in the operating room. They dissect the patient's tumor aseptically, then send it as a transplant to Vaccinogen's manufacturing facility. A sterile vaccine is prepared by release of the tumor cells from the connective tissue, followed by freezing and quality control testing for lot release. Once released, the vaccine is shipped and stored at the pharmacy on site at the patient’s hospital. The vaccine is formulated at the pharmacy for delivery to the patient by the local health care provider.
